Today I'm gonna go catch the ferry to France (aaand... it's because I'm all excited about that that this journal contains more emoticons than even I normally use! )

So I'll be away for 2 weeks. Hopefully when I get back there'll be plenty of art to show you all - but it'll likely be done in markers not Flash (god, i'm awful with traditional media ... it'll be a learning experience ...) The alps should be pretty inspiring I guess

And of course I plan to make an anime when I get back. Actually, I have several ideas for anime floating around my head - my artistic block quickly vanished when I read all your suggestions Choosing was so hard! So hard, if fact, that I slightly cheated ..... , your ancient greek idea just worked and made start thinking of spear-wielding warriors, Earthsea-like islands in the mist and black-painted ships.. and 's idea made me think that a dark grimy alleyway with a girl running away from a frightening creature was a simple but great idea for the action of the story .... you all know how much I obsess over the settings and backgrounds of anime and i found it very hard to choose

So I guess it then occurred to me that I could try and combine the two so... Ancient Greek inspired creatures in a modern-day setting, or modern-day girl fleeing down an ancient alleyway ... you'll have to find out! Not to mention the other anime ideas I now have, which might end up on dA pretty soon too...

I can predict there might be some French influence ending up in this rather odd anime concept soon as well ^^ Well, I guess it's not as odd as some anime.... if anyone's watched Nazca that had a pretty wierd historical South American + modern-day Japanese swordfighting concept as well as its beautiful animation...

So yeah... see you guys in two week's time!
